After posting yesterday about engagement ring shopping on Etsy (http://sparkletherapy.tumblr.com/post/17254360748/engagement-ring-shopping-on-etsy), my Etsy addiction continued. The rings below from Barbara Michelle Jacobs are a great example of the unique, handmade jewelry that you can only get Etsy. These really do achieve a natural look…

I love poking around on Etsy. Looking through pages and pages of vintage party dresses, handmade leather briefcases, or really any other speciality good to find the perfect item is addicting. You really never know what lovely little item you’ll find next. Engagement ring shopping on Etsy is really no different. The site touts everything from antique engagement rings from the Edwardian period to modern jewelry pieces with matte finishing and rough-cut center gemstones. The one thing I find consistent across almost all the engagement ring options (except antique rings, of course) is that the rings are highly customizable, which is similar to the clothing on the site. You can usually choose from a plethora of center gemstones, including both precious and semi-precious gemstones, as well as decide on metal type and, in some cases, make design changes. Mostly, what I love about engagement ring perusing on Etsy is that the same personalized, mom and pop shop feel is still there. Below are a series of whimsical engagement rings from Rare Earth, a lovely Etsy retailer that sells custom jewelry.
